What We Do
- With the support of residents and community partners, the Fund has helped advance initiatives that strengthen safety, connection, and care throughout Champlin, including:
- Community programs such as TRIAD, Shop with a Cop, Police Explorers, Police Reserves, and youth safety education
- Outreach and prevention initiatives developed in close partnership with the Police Department
- An embedded social work program that enhances support for individuals and families experiencing crisis
- Patrol bicycles that increase visibility and foster positive community interaction
- A search and rescue drone that enhances emergency response capabilities
- License Plate Reader technology that supports investigations and vehicle recovery
- Multi-year support for Home Free, connecting individuals impacted by domestic abuse to advocacy and resources
- Safe medication disposal bags that promote health and environmental safety
- Narcan overdose response tools that help save lives and support community health
Each investment builds on Champlin’s strengths and reflects a shared commitment to proactive, compassionate public safety.

Community Safety & Prevention Priorities
In partnership with the Champlin Police Department, the Fund has identified opportunities for continued investment in 2026 that build on existing strengths and support long-term community wellbeing.
Priority focus areas include:
- Cadet Scholarship Program supporting future officers pursuing higher education
- Decision-based training software that strengthens judgment and situational awareness
- Search and rescue UTV to enhance response capabilities in parks and trail areas
- Shop with a Cop expansion to deepen connection with families during the holidays
- Police Department service dog supporting officer and staff wellness
- Community outreach events such as Badges and Burgers that foster relationship-building
- Reserve Officer equipment replacement to ensure readiness and safety
- 75th Anniversary commemorative badges celebrating the department’s legacy in 2027
